Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • some technical education or experience
  • minimum of two years related experience
  • ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently
  • able to perform light physical work
  • availability to work Saturday, Sunday, and Monday shifts
  • familiarity with routine maintenance tasks and equipment
  • knowledge of safety procedures according to OSHA category III

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • technical education or related experience preferred
  • minimum of two years experience in maintenance or related field
  • knowledge of safety protocols and OSHA standards
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • strong problem-solving skills
  • good communication skills

Job Duties

  • Complete maintenance service requests as assigned
  • assist in physical plant upkeep including changing air filters, changing light bulbs, flushing drains, descaling ice machines, checking and cleaning roof drains, sanding and painting
  • maintain grounds work such as watering, planting, mowing, hedge control, sweeping curbs, trash and debris pick up, raking leaves
  • perform maintenance on various pieces of equipment including greasing bearings, tightening screws, maintenance of environmental monitors
  • report on materials and repair parts needed for specific projects
  • report to assistant maintenance supervisor in absence of maintenance supervisor
  • assist in monitoring work performed by outside contractors
  • alert maintenance supervisor of any unusual occurrences or damages
