Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Some technical education or experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance
  • Ability to perform light work involving exertion of up to 20 pounds frequently
  • Must be able to follow OSHA Category III standards
  • Ability to work Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Good communication skills

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Some technical education or experience
  • Minimum of two years of experience in maintenance or related field
  • Knowledge of hospital maintenance operations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficient in the use of maintenance tools and equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Complete all maintenance service requests as assigned
  • Assist in physical plant upkeep including changing air filters, changing light bulbs, flushing drains, descaling ice machines, checking and cleaning roof drains, sanding and painting
  • Maintain grounds work such as watering, planting, mowing, hedge control, sweeping curb, trash and debris pick up, raking leaves
  • Maintain various pieces of equipment throughout the building facilities including greasing bearings, tightening screws, and maintaining relative monitors
  • Report on materials and repair parts needed for specific projects for ordering by the maintenance supervisor
  • In the absence of the maintenance supervisor, report to the assistant maintenance supervisor
  • Assist in monitoring any work performed by outside contractors
  • Alert the maintenance supervisor of any unusual occurrences or damage that have taken place or occurred
