Job Requirements
- Associate’s degree in aviation
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate
- minimum 3 years of aviation maintenance experience
- ability to travel up to 50% including overnight and weekends
- physical ability to walk, stand, climb, balance, and lift up to 25 pounds
- ability to work near moving mechanical parts
- ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- effective communication skills
- problem solving ability
- decision making skills
Job Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in aviation
- Airframe and Powerplant Mechanics Certificate
- minimum 3 years of experience in aviation maintenance training
- classroom instruction experience
- proficient in Microsoft Word and Office
- knowledge of Adobe Suite
- strong communication skills
- ability to write reports and manuals
- ability to present information effectively
Job Duties
- Develops, updates and delivers General Maintenance Manual (GMM) training for new hires
- conducts required OHSA, Hazcom and safety related courses
- instructs aircraft systems courses
- administers qualification and recurrent qualification courses
- prepares and maintains course records and test completions
- audits training records for accuracy
- participates in research and development of newsletters
- provides technical leadership to team and department members
- monitors, influences and trains others
- provides input to manager on performance reviews and development needs
