Job Requirements

  • High school graduation or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five years of experience in construction and/or building maintenance
  • Expertise in building construction with good working knowledge of maintenance techniques
  • Basic understanding of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical desired
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • CDL desirable

Job Duties

  • Maintain and repair buildings, contents, mechanical and/or electrical equipment and systems
  • Perform work such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, door hardware, electrical and masonry work
  • Assist in building, remodeling, and repair work
  • Perform emergency repairs and maintenance
  • Install and reconfigure modular office furniture systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance as scheduled
  • Assist with snow removal including early morning starts, extended hours, weekend and holiday duty
  • Recommend purchase of materials, supplies, and equipment
  • Assist in building and site preparation for college and special events
  • Move and lift heavy objects and loads
  • Be on-call weekends for emergencies based on rotation list
  • Assist in maintenance of grounds and vehicles
  • Perform maintenance and miscellaneous duties as assigned
