Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of maintenance experience
- One year of housekeeping experience
- Ability to be on call if needed
- General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance
- Knowledge of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations
- Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Competent organizational and time management skills

Job Duties
- Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned
- Performing routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner
- Fixing wall and/or floor coverings
- repairing furniture and fixtures
- performing basic plumbing work
- performing minor electrical repairs
- repairing appliances
- painting and refurbishing projects
- working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance and make ready rooms as assigned
- Performing cleaning duties according to schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) in assigned areas such as apartment homes, common areas, lounges and offices
- Sweeping, dusting, dust mopping, and wet mopping all floors and stairways
- spot cleaning and vacuuming floors, rugs, carpets and runners
- Rotating runners in hallways and entryways
- Cleaning, sanitizing, and polishing both sink fixtures and facilities
- stocking dispensers as necessary
- Scrubbing and cleaning hallways, stairs, woodwork, windows and other areas as assigned
- Maintaining equipment and materials needed to perform work in a clean and orderly condition
