Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Experience in housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-centered environment
- Willingness to work with seniors
- Ability to follow safety and infection control procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to work semi-independently
- Compliance with health screenings, background checks, and vaccination requirements as applicable
- If driving a Sunrise vehicle, understanding of driver safety protocols

Job Duties
- Perform general housekeeping duties in resident suites, public areas, and support areas
- Clean floors, rugs, carpets, and runners by sweeping, dusting, mopping, and vacuuming
- Clean, sanitize, and polish lavatory, shower, and sink fixtures
- Dust, wash, sponge mop, sanitize, and hand shampoo furniture
- Knock on residents’ doors before entering and respect privacy
- Maintain equipment and supplies in a clean and orderly condition
- Transport clean and soiled linen to appropriate storage and collection areas
- Collect and remove trash and maintain trash receptacles
- Collect, clean, and redistribute community laundry
- Sort, wash, dry, fold, count, and stack linens
- Inspect linens for wear and tear and follow procedures for damaged linens
- Maintain commercial laundry in a clean and sanitary condition
- Assist Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care when requested
- Respond to resident requests and feedback
- Review and document pertinent resident information daily
- Ensure cleaning chemicals are stored and locked
- Keep equipment and hazards out of the way and comply with safety regulations
- Promote risk management programs
- Practice safety procedures including use of PPE and fire safety
- Comply with infection control techniques
- Participate as a team member and contribute to team goals
- Attend meetings and maintain compliance with required training
- Perform other duties as assigned
