Job Requirements
- education or training in relevant trade or maintenance field
- previous experience in maintenance or technical repair roles preferred
- ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- physically able to perform duties including lifting and climbing
- strong problem-solving abilities
- good communication skills
- commitment to safety and OSHA standards
- willingness to obtain necessary certifications or licenses
Job Qualifications
- skilled in one or more trades with the ability to quickly learn hotel systems and equipment
- calm under pressure and able to assess problems and take swift, effective action
- physically capable of lifting, bending, climbing ladders, and working in varied indoor and outdoor conditions
- detail-oriented and able to manage time efficiently with minimal supervision
- comfortable working flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed
- experienced in hotel or commercial maintenance preferred but not required
- holds or willing to obtain required certifications or licenses per local regulations
Job Duties
- perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
- respond quickly and courteously to guest and team member requests, prioritizing safety and comfort
- conduct daily property walks and inspections to identify and address maintenance needs
- maintain all tools, equipment, and workspaces in clean and safe condition
- collaborate with housekeeping and front desk teams to address in-room issues promptly
- monitor and report major repair needs or safety hazards to engineering leadership
- assist with preventative maintenance programs to ensure long-term functionality of systems and equipment
