Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in maintenance or engineering role preferred
  • knowledge of maintenance tools and safety procedures
  • ability to work independently
  • physical ability to perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, crouching and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • good communication skills
  • familiarity with OSHA and ADA regulations
  • willingness to travel to additional locations within reasonable geography
  • ability to meet environmental job requirements including working in varying weather and noise conditions

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to read and communicate effectively with guests, associates and outside vendors
  • ability to understand and follow safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and company standards
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • ability to perform basic math including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • ability to use units of measurement for weight, volume and distance
  • ability to apply good judgment
  • ability to assist with solving guest issues and handle problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates and promotes a 100% commitment to providing the best possible experience for guests and associates
  • works with minimal supervision while performing all essential duties to satisfaction and company standard
  • assists guests upon request and responds to all guest requests with diligent follow through
  • performs out of room cleaning to maintain premises in pristine condition including trash removal, cleanliness of building interior and exterior, grounds, walkways, stairwells, driveways and parking areas
  • performs repairs listed on work orders and follows the work order process
  • conducts preventative maintenance inspections and repairs
  • follows Green Shield Inspection schedule daily to complete all tasks per company standard
  • maintains records including Guest Room PM deficiencies, PM Room Inspections, Life Safety Inspections, Elevator Inspections and Non-Guest Room Deficiency Log
  • follows workflow outlined in Green Shield Schedule using SOPs as a guide
  • keeps maintenance room clean and organized, manages and safeguards maintenance tool inventory
  • maintains clean and organized boiler room, electric rooms, HVAC rooms, fire sprinkler rooms according to company standards and local ordinance
  • ensures fire safety equipment is operational and inspections are current
  • complies with all ESA safety and security policies including OSHA and ADA
  • maintains pool and/or spa in accordance with policies and local ordinance
  • assists with or handles emergency responses as directed by management
  • monitors and follows up with outside vendors when directed
