Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Vocational or technical training in engineering or maintenance
- Minimum 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to perform complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs
- Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout safety procedures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Good physical condition to lift objects up to 50 pounds
- Proficiency with engineering maintenance software
- Strong communication skills
- Willingness to follow company policies and safety regulations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Vocational or technical background in engineering or maintenance
- Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration systems
- Knowledge of parts inventory and requisition processes
- At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
- Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Proficiency in engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management
- Ability to train and mentor others
- Commitment to safety and compliance with local and national codes
Job Duties
- Respond to guest repair requests
- Communicate effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
- Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
- Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
- Undertake complex repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment
- Use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance
- Troubleshoot hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Train and mentor other engineers
- Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
- Follow all safety and security policies and procedures
- Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
- Maintain uniform and professional appearance
- Welcome and assist guests according to company standards
- Adhere to quality expectations and support team goals
- Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers
- Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Utilize engineering computer programs related to maintenance and energy management
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
