Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Vocational or technical training in engineering or maintenance
  • Minimum 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to perform complex mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs
  • Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout safety procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Good physical condition to lift objects up to 50 pounds
  • Proficiency with engineering maintenance software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Willingness to follow company policies and safety regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Vocational or technical background in engineering or maintenance
  • Extensive experience in general maintenance, electrical or refrigeration systems
  • Knowledge of parts inventory and requisition processes
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering or maintenance experience
  • Universal Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC) Certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to read blueprints and electrical schematics
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Proficiency in engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance and energy management
  • Ability to train and mentor others
  • Commitment to safety and compliance with local and national codes

Job Duties

  • Respond to guest repair requests
  • Communicate effectively with guests to resolve maintenance issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment
  • Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines
  • Identify and operate all shut-off valves for equipment
  • Maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
  • Undertake complex repairs of physical property, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and refrigeration equipment
  • Use Lockout/Tagout system before maintenance
  • Troubleshoot hotel mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
  • Train and mentor other engineers
  • Perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities including readings and rounds
  • Follow all safety and security policies and procedures
  • Report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries
  • Maintain uniform and professional appearance
  • Welcome and assist guests according to company standards
  • Adhere to quality expectations and support team goals
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with coworkers
  • Handle physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Utilize engineering computer programs related to maintenance and energy management
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested
