Job Requirements
- Experience in general trades such as light plumbing, minor electrical, painting, drywall, and general repairs
- Ability to work a varied schedule to address property emergencies
- Certified Pool Operator certification is desired
- Basic computing and MS Office knowledge
- Written and verbal communication skills
- 1-2 years experience in hospitality or commercial environment
- Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking, occasional kneeling, bending, stooping, and climbing stairs or ladders
- Ability to work in inclement weather conditions where applicable
- Tolerance of exposure to cleaning solutions
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds
Job Qualifications

- Written and verbal communication skills necessary to fulfill job responsibilities
- 1-2 years experience in a hotel, multi-unit residential, or commercial building environment
- Ability to work varied schedules as needed
- Certified Pool Operator certification is desirable
Job Duties
- Perform day-to-day routine and preventative maintenance within the hotel rooms and public areas
- Respond promptly and efficiently to maintenance calls from guests or other departments
- Respond courteously and promptly to guest requests and resolve matters to satisfaction
- Prioritize maintenance issues such as attending to plant and machinery breakdowns on priority
- Perform maintenance activities including minor electrical equipment, plumbing, and air conditioning
- Monitor fire alarm and life safety systems and handle emergencies involving these systems
- Understand and operate electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, and water systems and perform basic repairs
- Communicate with different departments and provide information and assistance
- Check for and assign new maintenance requests, inspect completed work and release rooms back to service using hotel PMS or other software
- Perform preventative maintenance as scheduled to ensure all equipment is maintained to required standards
- Maintain tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition
- Train and instruct other staff members through knowledge and skills sharing
- Perform general maintenance and upkeep of the exterior to ensure it is inviting and welcoming
- Adhere to all property safety protocols and OSHA safety standards
- Maintain professionalism with coworkers and residents
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
