Job Description

Job Requirements

  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Must be able to push a loaded cart and use cleaning equipment
  • Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and be on call as needed
  • Valid experience in maintenance roles
  • Strong problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to follow safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in maintenance operations including electrical, plumbing, heating and cooling systems
  • Ability to supervise and train housekeeping and laundry staff
  • Strong knowledge of emergency and safety procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to operate maintenance equipment such as vacuum cleaners, buffers, and carpet cleaning machines
  • Physical ability to lift at least 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Ensure maintenance and repair services are maintained for electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, heating and cooling, structural facilities, grounds, and parking areas
  • Respond promptly to service requests from residents, associates and management
  • Monitor quality of services by outside contractors in compliance with lease agreements, contracts and warranties
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment including serial numbers
  • Implement ongoing preventive maintenance and energy conservation programs
  • Maintain emergency procedures and equipment, assist in emergency implementations for safety
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment free from hazards
