Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to stand and work on feet for entire shift
- Ability to perform physically demanding work
- Willingness to follow safety protocols and company guidelines
- Ability to handle and dispose of hazardous materials safely
- Flexibility to adapt to changing work conditions
- No prior experience required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in custodial or maintenance roles preferred but not required
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers
- Knowledge of safety standards and procedures
- Ability to work on feet for extended periods
- Positive attitude and ability to adapt to changing work environments
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
Job Duties
- Maintain safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines including conducting safety sweeps, proper forklift spotting, handling and disposing hazardous materials, following company steel standard guidelines, and reporting unsafe situations to management
- Clean all areas of the facility including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles following company procedures and using approved chemicals and equipment
- Perform maintenance to ensure a safe and clean environment, respond to spills, operate floor scrubbers, and dispose of cardboard, plastic, and trash in accordance with company environmental program
- Maintain appropriate levels of company-approved chemicals and supplies, rotating and storing them properly, and place orders to replenish low supplies
- Ensure customers have a great first and last impression by maintaining cleanliness and safety
- Maintain a positive attitude throughout the shift
- Adapt quickly to different work scenarios in a fast-paced environment
