Job Qualifications

- experience in maintenance or custodial roles is beneficial
- ability to operate floor scrubbers and basic janitorial equipment
- knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their proper use

Job Duties
- Maintaining safety of facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines
- performing safety sweeps
- following proper forklift spotting procedures
- handling and disposing of hazardous materials appropriately
- correcting and reporting unsafe situations to management
- cleaning all areas of the facility including floors, windows, restrooms, and trash receptacles using approved chemicals and equipment
- responding promptly to spills
- operating floor scrubbers
- disposing of cardboard, plastic, and trash in line with the company environmental sustainability program
- maintaining appropriate levels of cleaning chemicals and supplies
- rotating and storing chemicals properly
- placing orders to replenish supplies when low
- ensuring customers have a great first and last impression
- maintaining a positive attitude throughout the shift
- adhering to company steel standard guidelines
