Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Up to 2+ years of job-related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Physical ability to stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the day
  • Basic painting and light drywall repair skills required
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Friendly and professional attitude
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Experience in general maintenance, custodial work, or facilities support preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and shared areas
  • Perform light repairs and upkeep across the facility, including painting walls and floors in mechanical rooms, touch-up painting in office spaces, refinishing and painting outdoor picnic tables and site furnishings
  • Conduct regular walkthroughs to identify minor repair needs
  • Assist with general cleaning and tidying of common areas
  • Support the Facilities team with seasonal projects and special tasks
  • Communicate any issues or supply needs to the Chief Engineer
  • Perform physical tasks such as loading, unloading, and moving materials
  • Organize inventory of storage rooms to ensure contents are stocked
  • Respond to employee desk and office lockouts and manage replacement keys
  • Follow government and company regulations related to building operations and work safety
  • Complete general labor work as assigned including office furniture repairs, replacing ceiling and carpet tile, and ad hoc requests
  • Assist internal employees with office space relocation by delivering and collecting packing supplies
  • Help maintenance staff, engineers, and company vendors with special projects as needed
  • Review work upon completion of a project to ensure all deliverables are achieved
  • Answer common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisor
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having limited discretion
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance
