Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
  • Ability to understand procedures and warning signs and markings in English
  • Ability to respond to inquiries and make entries on reports and records
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety toe shoes/boots, gloves, chemical splash suits, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and arctic gear
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical examination

Job Duties

  • Keeps maintenance shop and site storage areas organized and clean
  • Washes trucks and trailers prior to maintenance being done
  • Assists with grounds maintenance as assigned throughout all seasons as directed by shop foreman
  • Remains flexible to respond to the changing needs of the organization and the maintenance department
  • Performs all duties and operates all company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
  • Complies with all company safety policies including use of protective equipment and Fit for Work
  • Performs other duties as assigned
