Job Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with co-workers, supervisors, and managers
Ability to understand procedures and warning signs and markings in English
Ability to respond to inquiries and make entries on reports and records
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, handling objects, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, balancing
Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety toe shoes/boots, gloves, chemical splash suits, safety glasses/goggles, hearing protection, respiratory protection, and arctic gear
Must pass pre-employment drug test, background check, and physical examination

Job Duties

Keeps maintenance shop and site storage areas organized and clean
Washes trucks and trailers prior to maintenance being done
Assists with grounds maintenance as assigned throughout all seasons as directed by shop foreman
Remains flexible to respond to the changing needs of the organization and the maintenance department
Performs all duties and operates all company vehicles in a safe and responsible manner
Complies with all company safety policies including use of protective equipment and Fit for Work
Performs other duties as assigned
