Job Description
The Hotel Maintenance Technician position is a vital role within the Engineering and Maintenance Department of a hotel. Reporting directly to the Chief Engineer or Maintenance Manager, this role focuses on ensuring that the hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are consistently in excellent working condition. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- minimum of 2 years experience in maintenance or related field
- knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry repair
- ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- valid driver’s license
- willingness to follow safety guidelines and procedures
Job Qualifications

- previous experience in a maintenance or engineering role preferred
- basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry systems
- ability to use hand and power tools safely
- strong problem-solving skills

- physical ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects
Job Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, guest rooms, and public areas
- respond promptly to maintenance service requests from guests and staff
- repair or replace defective parts in plumbing systems, electrical fixtures, HVAC units, furniture, and appliances
- maintain hotel facilities in good working order, ensuring compliance with safety and health standards
- monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and tools
- assist with landscaping, pool maintenance, and exterior repairs as needed
- maintain accurate maintenance records and report major issues to management
- support renovation and improvement projects when required
- ensure all maintenance areas are kept clean, organized, and safe
- follow all safety policies and procedures to prevent accidents and property damage
