Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Three years of advanced cooking skills required
  • Previous customer service required
  • Must possess excellent communication skills
  • Ability to interact effectively with customers and employees
  • Must be able to resolve conflicts tactfully
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through the casino
  • Maintain physical stamina and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to handle moderate exposure to hot, cold temperatures and loud noise
  • Capable of handling objects up to fifty pounds
  • Must adhere to safety precautions
  • Must complete all required training within nine months
  • Meet attendance and punctuality guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary education or experience preferred
  • Three years of advanced cooking skills required
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Excellent communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking effectively
  • Ability to interact well with customers and employees
  • Ability to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully

Job Duties

  • Insure food items are properly stored including raw materials and prepared items
  • Inspect all outgoing orders are properly prepared with portion control and correct garnishing
  • Ensure all items such as soups, sauces and gravies are available prior to restaurant opening and assemble necessary supplies and equipment
  • Take inventory of all meats and seafood and estimate amounts needed
  • Coordinate food orders to proper cooks
  • Prepare all food items strictly adhering to recipe specifications
  • Review production schedule to determine food requirements including variety and quantity
  • Complete production sheets and records in conjunction with Sous Chefs
  • Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, and grills
  • Maintain proper food temperatures in accordance with regulatory and ServSafe standards
  • Properly label, date, and rotate all products to ensure safe keeping and sanitation
  • Command all stations of the kitchen including roast, fry, pasta, vegetable, grill, pantry, breakfast, sauté and high volume cooking
  • Work in conjunction with Sous and Room Chefs for daily operations
  • Teach and mentor Cooks and Production Cooks
  • Work harmoniously with others in a strenuous environment
  • Report to work well-groomed in full uniform with badge on upper left side
  • Provide prompt, friendly, and courteous food and beverage service to guests
  • Be hospitable, friendly, and polite with guests, co-workers, and management
  • Maintain understanding and compliance with all information security policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a professional work environment
  • Meet attendance guidelines and adhere to company policies
  • Complete required Seneca Gaming Corporation training programs within nine months
  • Attend all necessary meetings
  • Duties and expectations are subject to change
  • Work hours determined by a 24-hour schedule
