Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- high school diploma or equivalent required
- two years of intermediate cooking experience
- previous customer service experience required
- must possess excellent communication skills
- ability to deal effectively with customers and employees
- must be able to resolve problems and conflicts tactfully
- must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the food and beverage operation
- maintain physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure
- able to work in noisy and hot or cold environments
- handle objects up to 50 pounds
- must follow basic safety precautions
- complete all required training within nine months
- adhere to attendance and regulatory policies
Job Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment
- high school diploma or equivalent
- culinary education or experience preferred
- two years of intermediate cooking skills
- previous customer service experience
- excellent communication skills including reading, writing, and speaking effectively
- ability to interact well with customers and employees
- ability to resolve conflicts diplomatically
- knowledge of recipes, cooking techniques, and kitchen equipment operation
Job Duties
- Rotate between cooking stations and restaurants in hot temperature areas
- have command of all kitchen stations including roast, fry, pasta, vegetable, grill, pantry, breakfast, saute, and high volume cooking
- maintain proper food temperatures following regulatory and ServSafe standards
- properly label, date, and rotate all products to ensure food safety and sanitation
- review production schedules to determine food requirements
- assemble supplies and equipment needed for daily cooking activities
- follow production sheets and operational records
- regulate temperatures of ovens, broilers, and grills
- use a variety of pots, pans, and cooking equipment
- work harmoniously with others in a strenuous environment
- report to work well-groomed, in full uniform with badge
- provide prompt, friendly, and courteous service of food and beverage
- interact hospitably, friendly, and politely with guests, coworkers, and management using positive body language
- comply with information security policies and Seneca Gaming Corporation guidelines
- maintain professionalism and exceptional customer service
- meet attendance guidelines and regulatory policies
- complete required training programs within nine months
- attend all necessary meetings
- adapt duties and responsibilities as needed
