Job Requirements

  • Valid state driver's license
  • Safe driving record
  • At least two years of unsupervised driving experience
  • Ability to work varying schedules including weekends and holidays
  • Physical capability to perform moderate to heavy lifting and prolonged walking
  • Flexibility to handle schedule changes with little or no notice
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Must relocate to Peabody, MA 01960 before starting work
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident status
  • Continuous residency in the United States or U.S. territory for the last 5 years
  • Proficient in English

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid state driver's license
  • Minimum two years of unsupervised driving experience
  • Familiarity with postal laws and geography of the delivery area
  • Ability to lift and carry mail up to 35 pounds
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Deliver mail on foot or by vehicle in a designated area
  • Collect mail from mailboxes and postal facilities
  • Maintain professional public relations with customers and the community
  • Adhere to postal laws, regulations, and procedures
  • Carry mail weighing up to 35 pounds and load or unload containers up to 70 pounds
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions including rain, snow, and heat
  • Ensure mail security and follow established safe work methods and procedures
