Job Requirements
- Must possess a valid state driver’s license
- Must have a safe driving record
- Minimum of two years of unsupervised driving experience
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks involving lifting and walking
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must follow established safe work methods and procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Valid state driver’s license with a safe driving record
- Minimum of two years of unsupervised driving experience
- Ability to carry moderate to heavy loads
- Familiarity with local geography and postal procedures
- Good physical stamina for prolonged standing, walking, and lifting
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Deliver mail on foot or by vehicle in varying weather and road conditions
- Collect mail from customers and postal facilities
- Maintain professional and effective public relations with customers
- Carry mail weighing up to 35 pounds and load or unload containers weighing up to 70 pounds
- Follow postal laws, regulations, and procedures
- Provide mail security and ensure safe handling of mail
- Adapt to changing schedules including weekends, holidays, and varying hours
