Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or higher education preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in high-paced kitchen environment preferred
  • Knowledge in various cooking ingredients preferred
  • Familiar with the taste of authentic Korean food preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Job Duties

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare for service
  • Prepare a variety of foods including meat, seafood, vegetables, and cold food items
  • Prepare sauces and garnishes for allocated station
  • Cover, label, date, and correctly store all food items as per safe food-handling procedures
  • Inform chef in advance of likely shortages
  • Prepare dishes to order
  • Set up sanitizer buckets and towels
  • Constantly check the equipment on the line to ensure there are no gas leaks
  • Temperature checks of all reach-in and walk-in coolers
  • Set up rubber floor mats at station
  • Tastings with team members
  • Restock reach-in coolers
  • Prep lunch boxes for oncoming rushes
  • Clean line equipment including clean the grill, clean the range, clean the flat top, wipe down rice warmers, clean underneath equipment
  • Change foiling lining on top of ranges
  • Clean sinks of food debris and sanitize
  • Disinfect prep area surfaces
  • Sweep and mop floors
  • Empty and wash sanitizer buckets
  • Other duties as assigned
