Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a professional setting
- ability to use standard office equipment and technology
- excellent communication skills
- ability to handle sensitive matters with discretion
- physically able to move throughout the workday and lift items up to 20 pounds using safe handling practices
- ability to assist with resident evacuation during emergency situations
- ability to work part-time shifts including evenings and every other weekend
- willingness to participate in training and cross-training opportunities
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in a professional setting
- demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters
- excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public
- strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care
- skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology
- maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations
Job Duties
- Operate telephone, paging, radio, voicemail, and computerized phone systems, answer calls professionally and direct inquiries to appropriate individuals or departments
- provide information and materials (e.g., brochures, directions, newsletters, calendars) in accordance with policies
- greet visitors and assist with guest room reservations, directing them to the proper offices, personnel, or residents
- prepare event and tour signage and assist with maintaining meeting room and event calendars
- manage work orders using computer software and support administrative staff as needed
- maintain positive, cooperative relationships with residents, families, coworkers, and community partners
- perform all duties aligned with the organization’s mission and comply with established policies and procedures
- participate in mandatory training, in-service sessions, and cross-training opportunities to enhance clerical support skills
