Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED with one year of experience as a volunteer or paid leader
  • previous food service or experience preferred but not required
  • ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene practices
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • ability to remain alert and attentive in an outdoor environment
  • basic first aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain
  • background investigation including supervised drug screen, post offer pre-employment medical screen
  • verification of education, certifications, and licenses required prior to employment

Job Duties

  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food deliveries
  • set up and maintain the lunch service area, ensuring cleanliness and safety
  • serve meals in a timely, friendly manner
  • monitor food temperatures and follow proper food handling procedures
  • monitor participants during mealtimes, promoting positive behavior and safety
