Job Requirements

  • Be 18 years of age or older at the time of application
  • Have one or more years of full-service restaurant experience
  • Be willing to work evenings and weekends as required
  • Have knowledge of and ability to adhere to workplace safety procedures
  • Be able to suggestively sell food and beverage items
  • Possess a valid California food handlers card
  • Have moderate verbal and written communication skills
  • Have moderate interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
  • Have excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Be able to remain calm while working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Be able to act with integrity and professionalism
  • Be proficient in oral and written English communication

Job Duties

  • Work in a team environment with the ability to be an effective team player
  • Prepare or direct the preparation of food served using established production procedures and systems
  • Determine amount and type of food and supplies required using production systems
  • ensure availability of supplies and food or approved substitutions in adequate time for preparation
  • Serve or ensure proper serving of food for cooks line or later use
  • Comply with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene, and health standards
  • observe proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • Store food properly and safely by marking name, date, and times
  • Report necessary equipment repair and maintenance
  • Correctly prepare all food served following standard recipes and special diet orders
  • Portion food for serving
  • Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours so that excellence, quality, temperature, and appearance of food are preserved
  • Maintain daily production records
  • Keep work area neat and clean at all times
  • Clean and maintain equipment used in food preparation
  • Complete food temperature checks before service
  • Peel, dice, shred, and slice food products using manual and automatic equipment
  • Take pride in personal appearance

  • Maintain well-groomed hair and personal hygiene as established by company policy
