Job Requirements
- Minimum age 18
- high school diploma or equivalent
- completion of company orientation and food safety and sanitation training upon hire
- ability to function in a fast-paced retail environment performing detailed and precise tasks
- ability to work with customers attentively
- ability to comply with department-specific physical requirements including lifting up to 50-55 lbs and managing heavier loads with assistance
- commitment to food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow operating procedures
- willingness to work in varying conditions including wet, cold, hot, and noisy environments

Job Duties
- Provide superior customer service
- take orders from customers by telephone or in person
- answer customer questions regarding products and assist with selections
- prepare, package, and merchandise fresh products effectively
- slice, package, label, rotate, and cull products for quality
- assist in technical areas such as set-up and clean-up processes
- use suggestive selling techniques
- clean and sanitize display cases
- operate and maintain equipment properly
- comply with food safety and sanitation standards
- comply with department and store operating procedures
- record production and shrink for planning (Bakery)
- assist in baking, frying, and decorating (Bakery)
- cull bakery products for quality and expiration dates
- take care of service counter customers (Deli)
- use ordering system applications and Fresh Production Planner (Deli)
- perform inventory management processes (Deli)
- ensure catering orders are prepared and ready (Deli)
- perform all sanitation and maintenance tasks for deli slicers
- serve and package products at customer request (Prepared Foods)
- educate customers on preparation and reheating instructions
- prepackage condiments
- cut, slice, dice, chop food for chef
