- Ability to evaluate and identify mechanical conditions and make adjustments or corrective actions
- Ability to access elevated work areas such as climbing ladders and stairs
- Basic math skills

- Ability to maintain clean work area according to good manufacturing practices
- Good communication skills

Job Duties
- Operate and monitor wet mixers, dry mixers and extruders according to SOPs
- Maintain all production specifications including proper temperatures, salt, dry ingredient addition, dimension control, and preheat level
- Shut down equipment at the end of production and make all physical connections for CIP hook up, monitor chemical strengths and reassemble equipment for production
- Maintain proper levels in wet mixers, dry mixers, and extruders
- Communicate line rate changes with the brine operator
- Troubleshoot all equipment and identify potential problems
- Communicate problems to department team lead, supervisor, and/or manager
- Complete Start Up / Shut Down check lists, operational inspections, Sanitation/CIP - Record CIP Titrations
- Ensure safe operation of equipment and processes, maintain quality of raw materials and finished products in accordance with SOPs, GMP and safe work practices
- Participate in and implement continuous improvement initiatives
- Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and management
- Complete paperwork accurately and timely
- Maintain clean work area and complete eMSS daily
- Perform work following safety procedures, policies, critical safety rules, and expected standard conduct
