Job Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A or B license
- Clean driving record that meets DOT standards
- Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts and pallet jacks
- Ability to work in various weather conditions both indoors and outdoors
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-first attitude
- Flexibility to work varying shifts as needed
- Ability to read, write, and understand English including shipping documents and safety regulations
- Commitment to safety and adherence to procedures

- Forklift certification preferred
- Prior experience in LTL freight handling or dock operations preferred
Job Duties
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles on designated local routes
- Perform timely and efficient pickup and delivery of LTL freight
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections following DOT regulations
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers representing the company positively
- Accurately complete and manage shipping documents such as Bills of Lading and delivery receipts
- Utilize handheld scanning technology for freight tracking and documentation
- Secure freight properly with load bars and straps to prevent damage
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment
- Sort, stage, and place freight on docks or trailers according to destination
- Verify freight counts and inspect for damage, noting exceptions
- Operate dock equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment
- Assist with weighing and dimensioning freight as needed
- Operate yard hostler for trailer repositioning and staging based on schedules
- Perform inspections on yard equipment and ensure proper trailer chocking and brake application
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, dock personnel, and drivers to coordinate movements
- Conduct yard checks to track trailer inventories and update records
- Assist with terminal upkeep, safety meetings, and general support tasks
- Demonstrate flexibility to adapt to operational changes and priorities
