Job Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing or certified Paramedic program
- 2 to 3 years of experience working as a LPN/Paramedic in a medical environment
- Valid registration as an LPN or Paramedic in the State of Ohio
- Possession of current CPR Certification
- Knowledge of the standard operating procedures of the Correctional Health Care Division
- Knowledge of all emergency care procedures
- Ability to accurately follow instructions and guidelines
- Ability to assess potentially dangerous situations and take appropriate actions
- Skill in the use of radio equipment
- Knowledge of State Standards for Jails
- Ability to make sound decisions under stressful conditions
- Moderate physical effort including assisting disabled patients
- Exposure to health risks such as body fluids and needles
- Ability to stand and bend occasionally
- Ability to handle moderate to high stress levels
- Manual dexterity and ability to use office and medical equipment
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Assess patient needs as part of a healthcare team
- Plan and modify patient care based on assessments
- Implement clinical interventions accurately and timely
- Follow all regulatory requirements and clinical orders
- Provide emergency patient care as necessary
- Use medical equipment properly and maintain it
- Communicate effectively with health care team and security staff
