Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in dining room or lounge service and food preparation preferred
- Prefer prior experience in a commercial kitchen environment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Demonstrate basic computer knowledge with an aptitude to learn company applications
- Have compassion and a special interest in working with the senior population
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Ability to relate positively and effectively with residents, families, volunteers, and staff
- Ability to creatively problem-solve
- Maintain a clean, neat, and safe environment
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Pass a criminal background and fingerprint check
- Meet all mandatory health requirements by state regulations
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Maintain current Food Handlers card

Job Duties
- Provide a great experience for all residents and guests in the lounge
- Ensure that all food and beverage venues in the lounge are clean and well maintained
- Greet all residents and guests promptly as they enter the lounge area
- Provide excellent and timely customer service to all residents and guests
- Conduct pre-opening reviews including daily menu, personal presentation, inventory readiness, and resident needs
- Prepare food items and serve food within scheduled timeframe
- Follow menu cycle and note changes or substitutions
- Clean and maintain a neat, safe working environment
- Comply with state sanitation codes
- Maintain inventory control and restock lounge supplies
- Report service problems and communicate appropriately
- Observe and report changes in resident status or preferences
- Record resident information as required
- Avoid loss, breakage, and waste of supplies and equipment
- Adhere to fire, life, safety, disaster, security, and emergency procedures
- Support dignity, privacy, independence, choice, individuality, and a home-like environment for residents
- Maintain food quality and sample food served
- Attend meetings and trainings
- Perform other assigned duties
