Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
  • Must be at least 21 years old and comply with state liquor laws
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Basic math skills for handling cash and measuring ingredients
  • Knowledge of all relevant health and safety regulations
  • Ability to handle multitasking in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to upholding company policies and safety standards

Job Qualifications

  • Flexible to work long hours including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to exert medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally and 20 pounds frequently
  • Ability to stand for entire shifts
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with guests and employees courteously
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize department functions efficiently
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance including proper uniform and nametag
  • Problem-solving skills including anticipating, preventing, and resolving issues
  • Commitment to providing attentive and friendly guest service
  • Willingness to perform other duties as requested by management

Job Duties

  • Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
  • Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and employees
  • Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure prompt and efficient guest service
  • Prepare beverages and cocktails following the hotel’s mixing and presentation standards
  • Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a courteous and professional manner
  • Break down the bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment securely
  • Follow all state liquor laws and hotel safety rules
  • Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents
  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the bar and service areas during operation
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction
  • Know hotel services and facilities
  • Follow prescribed procedures for serving liquor responsibly
  • Be familiar with fire exit and extinguisher locations and operations
