Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be of legal drinking age
- Ability to mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Basic math skills to total costs and make change
- Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items like trays
- Must wear uniform and name badge while on duty
- Availability to work flexible rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
- Knowledge of standard cocktail recipes and drink preparation techniques
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle cash and make accurate change
- Familiarity with local and state alcohol service laws and regulations
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
- Basic food handling skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Mix ingredients such as liquor soda water sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
- Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer
- Collect money for drinks served
- Order and requisition liquors and supplies
- Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display
- Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
- Prepare appetizers such as pickles cheese and cold meats
- Perform in compliance with established company policies and procedures
- Perform in compliance with local state and federal laws and regulations
- Responsible for compliance with all state and local regulations pertaining to the public operation of the hotel's bar area including maximum safe occupancy emergency exit accessibility smoke-free area maintenance
- Responsible for knowing and recognizing in-state and out-of-state drivers licenses and state-issued identification cards
- Be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge
- Support and adhere to the core values the mission statement service fundamentals and guest service philosophy as defined by the company
- Perform all other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor
