Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be of legal drinking age
  • Ability to mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Basic math skills to total costs and make change
  • Physical ability to stand or walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy items like trays
  • Must wear uniform and name badge while on duty
  • Availability to work flexible rotating shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous bartending or hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of standard cocktail recipes and drink preparation techniques
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to handle cash and make accurate change
  • Familiarity with local and state alcohol service laws and regulations
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods
  • Basic food handling skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Duties

  • Mix ingredients such as liquor soda water sugar and bitters to prepare cocktails and other drinks
  • Serve wine and other draught or bottled beer
  • Collect money for drinks served
  • Order and requisition liquors and supplies
  • Place bottled goods and glasses to make an attractive display
  • Slice and pit fruit for garnishing drinks
  • Prepare appetizers such as pickles cheese and cold meats
  • Perform in compliance with established company policies and procedures
  • Perform in compliance with local state and federal laws and regulations
  • Responsible for compliance with all state and local regulations pertaining to the public operation of the hotel's bar area including maximum safe occupancy emergency exit accessibility smoke-free area maintenance
  • Responsible for knowing and recognizing in-state and out-of-state drivers licenses and state-issued identification cards
  • Be always in uniform when working on the property including wearing a name identification badge
  • Support and adhere to the core values the mission statement service fundamentals and guest service philosophy as defined by the company
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor
