Job Requirements

  • Must meet local age requirements to serve alcohol
  • available to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
  • ability to lift, balance and carry up to 25 lbs
  • ability to lift, balance and carry with assistance up to 100 lbs
  • continuous standing and walking for 4-5 hours
  • ability to negotiate wet tile floors and steps
  • fine motor coordination to pour beverages and decorate cocktails
  • excellent sight and balance
  • ability to handle lighted candles and hot fluids
  • ability to work in extreme temperatures such as freezers and kitchens

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a barback in a restaurant or hotel bar, TiPS Alcohol service certification or SafeStaff Certificate of Completion or ability to obtain within 30 days, fluency in English verbally and non-verbally, passion for hospitality and guest service, strong time management and organizational skills, ability to learn advanced service techniques, reliable and responsible work ethic

Job Duties

  • Uphold and role model the company’s principles of People, Place and Character, assisting in all aspects of the F&B guest’s experience from beginning to end by extending a friendly greeting, ensuring bar products and supplies are well stocked, and executing on requests in a timely manner, working in an organized and clean fashion including stocking the bar, racking kegs, filling ice bins, cutting garnishes, and preparing juices and syrups, providing professional service following steps of service and ensuring alcohol is served safely, using good judgement and a sense of urgency to enhance guest experiences, maintaining understanding of basic culinary terms and continuously studying the craft, participating in team meetings to develop ideas and address opportunities, observing physical facilities and reporting issues to management, communicating effectively with F&B and culinary teams to ensure timely delivery of food, assisting in various other F&B areas as needed including banquets, bar, café, in-room dining, pool, and restaurants
