Job Requirements
- Less than high school education or up to one month related experience or training
- High school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience or training
- One year certificate from college or technical school or three to six months related experience or training
- Associate’s degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or six months to one year related experience or training
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and perform math operations with money, weight, volume, and distance
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record

- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and short correspondence
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

- Ability to speak effectively before groups
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to apply common sense to carry out simple instructions

Job Duties
- Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
- Inspect vehicles to detect damage and verify presence of accessories
- Record description of damages and list missing items on delivery receipt
- Park new vehicles in assigned areas
- Catalog and store keys
- Assign stock control numbers to cars
- Move sold vehicles to maximize space and keep lot in order
- Deliver sold vehicles to new-vehicle preparation department
- Service vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish against deterioration
- Maintain new- and used-vehicle inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interior and exterior, replenishing fluids, and replacing batteries when necessary
- Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
- Keep new- and used-vehicle lots neat and orderly, moving cars as directed by general manager
- Clean driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris
- Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot
- Make key tags for vehicles
- Perform other duties as assigned
