Job Requirements

Less than high school education or equivalent
One month or more related experience or training preferred but not required
Ability to read and write English
Basic math skills
Ability to follow instructions precisely
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and walking outdoors
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Commitment to maintaining lot cleanliness and organization
Willingness to perform a variety of duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and units of measurement
Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs

Job Duties

Compare serial numbers of incoming cars against invoice
Inspect vehicles to detect damage and verify presence of accessories listed on invoice
Record description of damages and list missing items on delivery receipt
Park new vehicles in assigned areas
Catalog and store keys
Assign stock control numbers to cars
Move sold vehicles to maximize space and maintain lot order
Deliver sold vehicles to new-vehicle preparation department
Service vehicles in storage to protect tires, battery, and finish
Maintain inventory appearance and performance by cleaning interiors and exteriors, replenishing fluids, and replacing batteries
Place buyer guides and stock tags in vehicles
Keep new and used vehicle lots neat and orderly
Clean driveway and sidewalks, removing snow and debris as necessary
Drive vehicles to and from service lane, service stalls, and parking lot as needed
Make key tags for vehicles
Perform other duties as assigned
