Job Requirements

  • Four years of experience in application of pavement markings or related experience
  • Valid Florida Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with airbrakes
  • Ability to obtain forklift operation certification within six months of employment
  • Punctuality and flexibility
  • Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat and live traffic scenarios
  • Physical ability to perform medium work including lifting between 20 and 50 pounds regularly

Job Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher in construction management, general studies, applied sciences, construction trades or related field preferred
  • Intermediate level Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Certification preferred
  • Fork Lift Certification preferred
  • Four years of experience in pavement marking or closely related field
  • Ability to develop work methods and sequences independently
  • Valid Florida Class B or higher Commercial Driver's License with airbrakes

Job Duties

  • Schedules pavement marking crew for daily workload
  • participates in the installation and maintenance of pavement markings
  • operates and manages pavement marking truck for thermoplastic longlines installation
  • operates the reflectometer
  • provides training to subordinates on safe equipment operation
  • maintains records and enters data for completed work
  • performs daily vehicle and equipment maintenance checks
  • supervises longline team and ensures crew and public safety
  • conducts final inspection of signs and pavement markings
  • places orders for pavement marking materials
