Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
- 8-12 years relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years
- Qualified as Instructor Pilot, Instrument Flight Examiner, or 3 years Aviation Simulator I/O experience
- Prior Army Aviation or military equivalent experience
- USAACE/AATS Instructor Pilot qualification or equivalent
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC certification or commitment to complete
- Meet Aviation proponent instructor criteria per TR 350-10 and TR 350-70
- Qualified as unit trainer, instructor pilot, or maintenance test flight examiner with simulator experience
- USAACE qualified Instrument Flight Examiner
- Complete unit aircrew training within 3 months if needed
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelors degree with 8-12 years of relevant experience or Masters with 6-10 years
- Qualified as an Instructor Pilot or Instrument Flight Examiner or have 3 years experience as an Aviation Simulator I/O
- Prior experience training or operating with Army Aviation or military equivalent
- USAACE/AATS qualified Instructor Pilot or 3 years experience as I/O in the assigned device
- Instructor Training Course (ITC) or ABIC qualified or ability to graduate within 12 months
- Meet instructor qualification requirements as defined by the Aviation proponent and TR 350-10, TR 350-70
- Qualified as unit trainer, instructor pilot, or maintenance test flight examiner with simulator experience
- USAACE qualified Instrument Flight Examiner
- Complete unit aircrew training within 3 months if not an instructor pilot per AR95-1
- Able to obtain and maintain DoD Secret clearance
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (preferred)
Job Duties
- Operate the simulator device to train all crewmember tasks required by the aircraft ATM
- Present flight records and qualifications for review upon arrival
- Support 4-5 two hour periods per day per simulator device
- Conduct aviation instruction and simulator operation during scheduled periods and support administrative duties
- Undergo check rides by Government Standardization Pilots to certify in unit standard operating procedures
- Provide training assessments and input to after action reports
- Document individual pilot simulator hour usage on DA Form 2408-12 and device logbooks
- Report device utilization metrics including no-shows and downtime weekly
- Act as RFMSS Fire Desk Operator to schedule and close out simulator training periods
- Utilize Instructor/Operation Manual (IOM) and reference data for simulator daily operations and report any needed corrections or shortfalls monthly
