Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent college degree preferred
- International logistics experience preferred
- Experience with scheduling and critical path management preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong customer service and issue resolution skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and data analysis skills

Job Duties
- Route cargo by legal and customer requirements, including cargo characteristics, transport mode, equipment type, service level, least cost, transit time, and loading/offloading requirements
- Coordinate the international export routing process, including using contract rates and the least cost whenever possible
- Obtain spot quotes for lanes or loads that aren't contracted
- Select carriers and tender cargo per the process
- Provide carrier, shipper, broker, and consignee with all pertinent documents and information as required
- Issue resolution and shipment responsibility
- Initiate claims against logistics service providers if needed
- Track and follow up on claims status with logistics service providers for reimbursement
- Retain applicable invoicing information for damage repair and coordinate with appropriate individuals for cost recovery/accounting information
- Notify service providers of intent to file claims and subsequent filing with responsible providers
- Confirm funds transfer/reimbursement via finance group and update claims database
- Report and track all claims
- Actively use Allyn's ALA software
- Accurately issue shipping documentation such as certificates of origin, customs invoices, packing lists, and certificates of insurance
- Reliably track and expedite the progress of specialized shipments
- Actively look for and capture savings and added value opportunities
- Participate in team meetings, conference calls, and daily project management calls with Allyn team and clients
- Ensure Department of Transportation and other transport regulations compliance, including permitting, over-dimensional, and hazardous materials
- Eliminate or minimize risk exposure for Allyn and customers
- Track and resolve freight claims
- May participate in industry publications and articles
