Job Requirements

  • Degree, industry certification or great experience in a supply chain, operations, or quantitative field
  • 5-10 years of experience in logistics, transportation, distribution, or a quantitative role
  • Experience supporting ecommerce or omnichannel fulfillment preferred
  • Familiarity with Amazon FBA or 3PL operations is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of supply chain optimization, freight modes, and shipping lane design
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Query, and SQL highly desirable
  • Experience working with TMS/ERP systems is a plus
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and vendor negotiation skills
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Intellectually curious and readily adaptable to new challenges

Job Duties

  • Coordinate day-to-day freight and distribution activities across domestic and international lanes, including warehouse-to-warehouse transfers and over-land freight sourcing
  • Manage 3PL and carrier relationships to ensure timely, cost-effective shipping performance
  • Solicit and compare carrier quotes (LTL/FTL) to identify the best cost and service options and negotiate with carriers and 3PLs
  • Review and audit freight invoices for accuracy and compliance with negotiated terms
  • Consolidate freight shipments where feasible to reduce cost per unit and optimize trailer utilization
  • Schedule multi-drop deliveries to maximize route efficiency and service performance
  • Analyze freight costs, transit times, and delivery performance to identify optimization opportunities
  • Develop analytics dashboards and reports in Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and SQL to track KPIs such as freight cost per mile, OTIF, tender acceptance, and claims rate
  • Support supply chain planning and forecasting to maintain inventory and service level goals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, procurement, and customer service teams to improve fulfillment accuracy and delivery reliability
  • Work with TMS/ERP systems, assist in process automation, and recommend configuration improvements
  • Maintain compliance with shipping regulations, documentation standards, and customs requirements when applicable
  • Continuously seek opportunities to streamline operations and improve end-to-end supply chain efficiency
