Job Requirements

  • Must have bachelor's degree in STEM discipline with minimum 2 years experience or master's degree with 0 years experience or additional 4 years relevant experience
  • ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense secret security clearance
  • ability to obtain and maintain access to work on-site in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
  • excellent communication skills
  • basic knowledge of JEDMICS, BLADE, ESCAPE, AVCOM, LDMS, TOAP, WebFLIS, and FEDMALL
  • working knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs and maintenance parts lists
  • proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • logistics experience with solving DMSMS issues and providing suitable resolutions

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline with a minimum of 2 years' experience
  • master's degree in STEM discipline with a minimum of 0 years of experience
  • additional 4 years of direct relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the degree requirement
  • ability to obtain a U.S. Department of Defense secret security clearance
  • excellent communication skills
  • basic knowledge of JEDMICS, BLADE, ESCAPE, AVCOM, LDMS, TOAP, WebFLIS, and FEDMALL
  • working knowledge of engineering drawings, BOMs and maintenance parts lists
  • proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • logistics experience with solving DMSMS issues and providing suitable resolutions
  • active DoD Secret Security Clearance (preferred)
  • knowledge of B-1 maintenance/sustainment activity (preferred)
  • knowledge of Military Specifications, Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs), Data Item Descriptions (DIDs) and related documents (preferred)
  • significant experience in military, government or commercial aerospace industry (preferred)
  • experience with reading and understanding technical data (preferred)
  • working understanding of government aircraft maintenance and supply processes/systems (preferred)
  • extensive experience analyzing data from Government Supply Chain Legacy Systems (preferred)
  • knowledge of Depot Supply Chain Management processes and Automated Budget Compilation System (ABCS) (preferred)
  • excellent oral and written communication skills (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Develop, coordinate and conduct reliability, maintainability and availability studies and evaluations of engineering design throughout the program life cycle
  • analyze aircraft maintenance programs to determine effectiveness and create written recommendations for increasing efficiency and effectiveness
  • complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standard airframes
  • research BOMs, engineering parts lists and IPBs to develop a comprehensive database
  • identify and document critical obsolescence data elements for items impacting longevity of LRUs, SRUs and piece-parts
  • canvas manufacturers and vendors for obsolescence information and maintain communication to ensure proactive obsolescence identification
  • assess and provide overall health assessment of systems and detailed assessments of items impacting systems negatively
  • perform trade-study analysis for obsolescence resolutions considering cost-benefits, lifetime buy benefits, technical data modification effort, system impact, non-recurring engineering effort and complexity factor
  • identify, define and grade resolution recommendations based on cost-benefit, mission impact and sustainability
  • provide thoroughly researched preferred resolutions with clear comparisons to less favorable options
