Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum six months to one year related experience
  • three years of related air export experience and/or training
  • good written and oral communication skills
  • one to two years of Cargo Wise experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • minimum six months to one year related experience
  • plan and direct flow of air/ocean traffic moving to overseas destinations
  • ship freights, prepare documentation and way-billing, assess charges, and collect fees for shipments
  • examine documents such as invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements to verify conversion of merchandise weights or volumes
  • three years of related air export experience and/or training
  • good written and oral communication skills
  • one to two years of Cargo Wise experience

Job Duties

  • Negotiate with domestic customers as intermediary for foreign customers to resolve problems and arrive at mutual agreements
  • open a file on the dedicated software system for each shipment received
  • examine invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations
  • contact customs officials to affect release of incoming freight and resolve customs delays
  • receive freight, documentation, and way billing
  • assess charges and collect fees for shipments
