Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in logistics or transportation coordination
- strong knowledge of freight shipping methods and regulations
- excellent communication skills
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and transportation management systems
- ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced setting
- strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- ability to work independently and as part of a team
Job Qualifications
- Previous experience in logistics dispatch or transportation operations preferred
- strong knowledge of freight shipping methods and industry regulations
- experience with produce transportation
- excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics software
- ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain logistics or related field preferred
Job Duties
- Coordinate daily freight shipments including scheduling pickups and deliveries
- communicate with drivers carriers and customers to ensure on-time performance
- track and monitor shipments to proactively address delays or issues
- prepare and maintain transportation documentation including bills of lading proof of delivery and invoices
- negotiate with carriers and build strong relationships with vendors and partners
- optimize routes and loads to reduce costs and improve efficiency
- handle customer inquiries provide shipment updates and resolve service issues
- maintain accurate records in transportation management system
- ensure compliance with Department of Transportation regulations safety standards and company policies
- support the operations team with reporting analysis and continuous process improvements
