Job Requirements

  • Should have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Understanding of the supply chain, including common obstacles and effective solutions
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word, in particular)
  • Proficient in standard logistics software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong knowledge of maritime and warehouse logistics practices, including documentation, cargo handling, and legal compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, resolve delivery delays or discrepancies, and facilitate efficient cargo flow
  • Experience with computerized inventory or maintenance management systems (CMMS) and logistics IT applications
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders (port authorities, customs, vendors, and vessel crews)
  • 3 years of customer experience preferred but not required
  • Light work: exerting up to 20 lbs. of force occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently, or a negligible amount constantly
  • Prolonged sitting: sitting at a desk for extended periods of time
  • Ability to don appropriate PPE (safety-toed boots, vest, hard hat, gloves, reflective vest) and walk within a warehouse or terminal setting.

Job Duties

  • Support Operations Manager with the administrative functions of the terminal
  • Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the proper channels
  • Review purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy
  • Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
  • Track and update shipping information
  • Prepare documents for billing and or invoices
  • Participate in the development of processes
  • Ensure that the quality of our service meets the standards of the company and clients
  • Schedule and coordinate day-to-day activities in the warehouse and interchange
  • Inspect pick-up and delivery paperwork to ensure the client's needs are met
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure customer orders and information is provided
  • Effectively use inventory software
  • Work closely with Operations to manage inventory levels.
