Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- proven experience in logistics supply chain or transportation management
- experience coordinating international shipments customs clearance and freight forwarding
- familiarity with inventory management systems
- knowledge of logistics operations transportation modes and shipping regulations
- experience using logistics management software such as AMOS and Oracle is a plus
- flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and logistical challenges
Job Duties
- Develop detailed logistics plans for new build or dry dock projects including timelines transportation routes and resource allocation
- coordinate with suppliers vendors and service providers to ensure timely delivery of materials equipment and spare parts needed for new build and dry dock projects
- manage purchase orders extensively to provide visibility to internal and external customers
- work closely with project managers shipyards and dry dock facilities to align logistics activities with project schedules and adjust plans as needed
- maintain general knowledge of import and export regulations ensuring documentation compliance
- monitor and manage inventory levels of critical parts and materials coordinating storage and handling at various locations
- act as the main point of contact among internal teams external suppliers shipyards and dry dock providers facilitating communication and resolving problems
- identify potential logistical risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate delays or disruptions
- provide regular updates and reports on logistics status challenges and upcoming activities to project stakeholders
