Job Requirements
- Associate's degree or equivalent experience
- Experience coordinating freight shipments
- Knowledge of freight transportation modes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work onsite in Charlotte, NC two days per week or remotely beyond 25 miles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve problems under deadline
Job Qualifications
- Proficiency in transportation management software
- Basic understanding and experience with Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills
- Experience or working knowledge of shipping modes including Drayage, LTL, TL, Airfreight, Consolidations, Intermodal
- Experience with management software such as Transportation or Warehouse management systems
- Associates or Bachelors degree in Supply Chain is a plus
- Import/Export or logistics dispatch experience
Job Duties
- Coordinate and schedule freight shipments across various modes of transport within the U.S. and internationally
- Ensure timely routing of shipments between the U.S. and Canada, and the U.S. and Mexico
- Serve as the direct link between customers and carriers to meet pick-up and delivery times
- Ensure equipment requirements are met and that freight arrives on time
- Utilize transportation management software to track and manage shipments
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to resolve shipping issues
- Maintain accurate records of shipment details and updates
