Job Requirements
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years of experience in logistics or supply chain
- Proficiency with transportation management systems
- Knowledge of Incoterms and hazardous materials guidelines preferred
- Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite highly preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to analyze and solve logistics problems
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities
- Attention to detail
- Positive and self-motivated attitude
- Ability to work onsite in Kent, WA
- Ability to communicate at all organizational levels
- Physical ability to sit, talk, hear, use hands, and occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Job Qualifications
- Associates degree and 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent work experience in logistics and/or supply chain
- Experience with NetSuite or other comparable ERP systems highly preferred
- Experience with transportation management systems required
- Knowledge of dangerous goods/hazardous material transportation guidelines preferred (i.e. IATA, DOT, IMO)
- Experienced participation in S&OP processes
- Ability to analyze tradeoffs between air freight, ocean freight, capacity, and other variables
- Basic knowledge of LTL and small parcel shipping
- Demonstrated decision-making ability under uncertain or incomplete information
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to multi-task and set priorities
- Computer literacy including data graphing, analytics, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and eager to succeed
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with co-workers, customers, and vendors
Job Duties
- Coordinate and schedule inbound container deliveries from origin to destination
- Be familiar with Incoterms as it relates to logistics needs and customer/vendor billing requirements
- Manage package tracing including freight claims, dock sweeps, and address changes
- Enter inventory adjustments, receipts, and production orders timely
- Input and retrieve alphabetical and numerical information using various computer software packages
- Reference data to ensure accuracy and completeness, recognize and report problems in source documents
- Support all corporate initiatives related to sales, accounting, inventory control, and shipping
- Generate weekly reports demonstrating visibility to inbound containers
- Drive resolution of weekly exceptions to ensure rapid decision making and timely execution
- Develop allocation plans to optimize constrained availability against prioritized demands
- Develop and refine tools for ongoing support of business
- Participate actively in continuous improvement efforts
- Communicate effectively throughout all levels of the organization
- Understand, support, and execute all work according to organizational procedures
- Implement and maintain department policies and standards
- Complete project-based assignments as requested
