Job Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma
- 6 months to 1 year related experience or equivalent education
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain topics
- Proficient computer skills including Excel and Word
- Fluent in English
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Job Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 6 months to 1 year related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain topics and trends
- Effective interpersonal skills including listening and communication
- Pro-active with strong organizational skills
- Proficient in Excel and Word
- Hazardous materials certification preferred
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
Job Duties
- Ensure smooth and timely freight process flow meeting customer expectations
- Ensure accurate and timely data entry into operational system per Operational Performance Standards (OPS)
- Track and trace shipment files daily
- Scan and validate documents
- Ensure documents are received and processed timely to keep cargo moving
- Ensure accurate and timely client and vendor billing within company and customer requirements
- Interact with customers to arrange domestic or international shipments meeting customer service standards
- Communicate with service providers regularly to ensure timely pickup and delivery of shipments
- Understand departmental process flows and contribute to best practice improvements
- Ensure all customer standard operating procedures are in place and regularly updated
- Meet KPI standards according to company procedures
- Respond timely to emails and voicemails to exceed customer expectations
- Escalate problems to management when necessary
