Job Requirements
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program
- Summer pre-registration exception applies only if pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester
- Have a valid United States Social Security Number
- Remain in valid visa status as applicable
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA or first semester student
- Federal Work Study eligibility may apply
- In good disciplinary standing
- Must be located in the U.S.
Job Qualifications
- Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee
- Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking program
- Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with sound equipment and mixing
- Basic software skills for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases
- Professionalism and maturity
- Adaptability under pressure
- Experience in administrative or office settings preferred
- Live sound mixing and production experience preferred
- Familiarity with music genres and recording techniques preferred
- Knowledge of concert production planning preferred
Job Duties
- Basic office assistant/receptionist work such as answering phones, emails, filing, photocopying, and running errands
- Reserving conference rooms at the college for staff and faculty using event management software
- Setting up, supervising, breaking down, and inventorying concert equipment including amps, PAs, mixers, microphones, keyboards, cables
- Meeting with artists/managers to plan, produce, and engineer Loft concerts
- Sound engineering 1-2 student and faculty Loft concerts per week including setting up equipment, running sound checks, live mixing, improvising technical solutions, supervising shows
- Providing technical support and assistance with concert equipment and conference room technology
- Availability during business hours and evenings for Loft shows
- Assisting with event coverage at high-profile events including greeting guests, working check-in tables, and assisting with last minute details
- Participating in the annual Gala and Commencement events including some after-hours work
