Job Qualifications
- Consultative selling and negotiation skills with a consistent track record of successful negotiations
- strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
- strong interpersonal and customer relation skills
- strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate with others
- ability to work independently as well as a team player
- knowledge of the hotel industry, brand standards, and hotel contracts
- account management experience including presenting and meeting with partners and retaining and growing partnerships
- hotel experience in group sales with familiarity with reservation platforms or systems
- experience working in East Coast markets or knowledge of regional hotel trends and citywide event dynamics
Job Duties
- Contract negotiations for profitable agreements for TCS, the hotels, and customers
- manage supplier relationships by developing and cultivating partnerships with hotels, condos, and city partners
- develop strong partner relationships with event directors and participate in regular reviews to communicate market trends and provide strategic guidance
- track and report on event performance and forecast revenue
- perform administrative tasks including hotel health checks, allocating complimentary staff rooms, and managing collections from hotel partners
- collaborate cross-functionally with event staff, hotels, and brand NSOs to resolve lodging issues during events
- provide excellent customer service to assist teams in selecting and booking lodging to increase room nights and reservations per traveling team
