Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of three years of hospitality management experience
  • ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance
  • excellent communication skills
  • strong leadership and organizational skills
  • ability to handle pressure and changing priorities
  • availability to work full time
  • willingness to adhere to Marine Corps and MCCS policies
  • eligibility to pass background and security checks
  • compliance with drug-free workplace policies

Job Qualifications

  • minimum of three years of hospitality management experience
  • certified hotel administrator designation preferred
  • advanced knowledge of housekeeping and hotel services principles
  • knowledge of NAF policies and procedures preferred
  • demonstrated professional leadership skills managing competing priorities
  • ability to work under pressure in demanding environments
  • experience in scheduling, managing, and delegating work
  • ability to effectively interview, hire, motivate, and develop staff
  • excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills
  • professionalism and diplomacy in handling employee and customer issues
  • ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing
  • flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance

Job Duties

  • assist in the efficient operation of lodging facility including front office, housekeeping, breakfast, and maintenance functions
  • conduct surveys and studies to ensure services and facilities meet patron needs and cleanliness standards
  • assist in creating policies and promotions to increase occupancy and profitability
  • develop and implement safety and security strategies for occupants
  • coordinate with local hotel/motel industry for overflow accommodations
  • plan, organize, and manage internal resources for productivity and cost efficiency
  • prepare financial plans, budgets, inventories, cost controls, and related reports
  • manage employees through training, scheduling, performance appraisals, counseling, and personnel recommendations
  • enforce compliance with EEO, fire, safety, security, sanitation, and environmental policies
  • manage property resources and advise on renovations
  • maintain security for funds, merchandise, and equipment
  • provide world class customer service with an emphasis on courtesy and positive communication
  • address and escalate customer issues promptly
  • adhere to safety regulations and report hazards and incidents
  • support EEO and sexual harassment prevention programs
  • perform other related duties as assigned
