Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Commercial Driver's License CDL A
  • Minimum of two years driving experience with CDL A
  • Ability to pass security background checks
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to operate forklift and or pallet jack preferred
  • Availability to work scheduled shifts Tuesday through Saturday
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as loading and unloading freight
  • Ability to comply with safety guidelines and regulations

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Commercial Driver's License CDL A registered to state of work location
  • Two years of driving experience with a CDL A license
  • Experience using forklift and or pallet jack preferred but not required
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to pass security background checks
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to make judgments and decisions with or without supervision
  • Time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
  • Ability to drive tractor-trailer trucks
  • Ability to use manual pallet jacks, dollies, and accessories
  • Ability to complete all necessary DOT documentation

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Job Duties

  • Unload truck using forklift and or pallet jack
  • Maintain a commercial drivers' license
  • Follow appropriate safety procedures for transporting goods
  • Read bills of lading to determine assignment details and verify cargo against shipping papers
  • Examine and report vehicle malfunctions, defects, accidents, violations, required maintenance, or damage
  • Perform pre- and post-check inspections
  • Refuel and take vehicles in for maintenance
  • Document and record information including driver logs according to ICC regulations
  • Collect delivery instructions and verify routes
  • Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods
  • Check load-related documentation for completeness and accuracy
  • Inventory and inspect goods to determine quantities and conditions
  • Load and unload trucks or assist with loading, using special equipment as necessary
  • Secure cargo for transport using straps, bars, stretch-wrap, blanket-wraps
  • Wrap goods using pads, packing paper, and containers and secure loads to trailer walls
  • Use local or regional geographical knowledge and GPS to determine vehicle routes
  • Operate equipment such as cell phones, apps, email, and truck cab computers
